Get To Know: Water Hyacinth (Eceng Gondok)
Water Hyacinth or Eceng Gondok known as a floating plant that lives in a swamp. In Indonesia, this plant is growing almost in every swamp. It grows rapidly above the water, we believe this Water Hyacinth is good for Organic Fertilizer, therefore there are also the negative side of water hyacinth:
- Reducing the amount of oxygen inside the water because it’s grown above the water. It’s blocking the sunlight and causing to block the oxygen inside the water as well
- Can cause a shallow to the swamp as it grows rapidly
Water Hyacinth itself is a parasite. However, it’s a non toxin plants so it’s safe to be recycled and used for anything, and we are recycling this plant into these beautiful products
